However, this process prompts a question rarely pondered: How much of the original stone is wasted? The blunt answer is—a significant amount.

Such an understanding led us to a crossroads at EDAJ. We realized that while the traditional process produces beautiful results, it’s not sustainable. It became clear that we needed to reassess our approach, for the sake of our craftsmanship, the environment, and the respect for the uniqueness of each stone.

We took a pledge to change, one stone at a time. We committed to maximizing the use of jadeite, minimizing waste, and celebrating the unique beauty of each piece. We recognized that shaping jadeite into a preset mold was not only wasteful and stereotypical but also contrary to the true spirit of luxury.

For us, luxury lies in the expertise of our stone craftsmen who take the time to understand, respect, and work with each stone. They know their origin, their nature, and their future with EDAJ.
